Looking back 2009.. by Vamparela!

April 2009::::
The Manchester band The Doves released their fourth album "Kingdom of Rust". The Doves love Vangelis' music in "Blade Runner" . "Jetstream" the lead track of the album is "an imaginary song for the closing credits on Ridley's classic". The album was recorded in a converted farmhouse in Cheshire, England.The Canadian band The Metric released Fantasies, their fourth album, that was very well received by critics and the public. "Front Row" was inspired by the novel Great Jones street by DondeLillo according to the band's singer, Emily Haines.
The Austrian Anja Franziska Plaschg aka Soap&Skin released her deput album, Lovetune for Vacuum. The album managed to get chart positions in Austria, Belgium, France and Germany.
Prefuse 73 aka Guillermo Scott Herren released Everything She Touched Turned Ampexian on Warp Records. The album includes 29 tracks, almost 1/3 of which don't last longer that 1 minute.The LA indie band Silversun Pickups released their second album"Swoon". The title of the album came from a line from the track "The Royal We". The cover of the album is an artwork of Darren Waterston.
Sounds of the Universe is the twelfth album by Depeche Mode, one of the most successfull and influential Enlish bands. Gore and Gahan co wrotefor the first time in the band's history the B-side track "Oh Well".
Help by Thee Oh Sees came out. Thee Oh Sees are an underground garage rock, lo-fi, psycedelic, stoner rock band from San Francisco.
